Low prices on the Smith & Wesson 351PD start at Champion Firearms- the 351 is the latest addition to S&W's groundbreaking line of Airlite revolvers that don't need titanium or scandium because the .22 Magnum can perform reliably in an aluminum cylinder. It does, however, follow the construction established with the first ultralight magnums. The 1 7/8" barrel is actually two separate parts. There is a stainless steel "barrelette" within an aluminum shroud. The original design was conceived to prevent the barrel from unscrewing itself with hot magnum loads.
The nice thing about the Smith & Wesson 351 is that the double action trigger has very little of the stacking common to coil springs in small-frame revolvers. And the shorter rotation of the seven-shot cylinder lets the cylinder lock up well before the hammer reaches full cock. The Smith & Wesson 351 is the perfect lightweight, reliable, low recoil concealed carry revolver.
