The Springfield Mil- Spec is well made, reliable and finely constructed. It looks and feels like a gun that would have been issued to U.S. armed forces from WWII through the Vietnam era and would make a great choice for anyone looking for a reliable sidearm. It is the base mode chambered in .45ACP and has a set of high profile, 3- Dot sights that provide the shooter with a far superior sight picture compared to the low profile style sights seen on the U.S. service model 1911.

A high- hand "A1" style grip safety provide better comfort and control while firing. The 5- inch stainless barrel features a polished feed ramp and throated barrel for smooth, reliable feeding.

The Springfield Mil- Spec has has a lowered and flared ejection port which provide additional reliability kicking out spent casings. Precision machined rear slide serrations provide a firm grasp while loading or unloading.

To retain the look and feel of the original classic military model 1911-A1, a government style hammer, arched mainspring housing and short G.I. style trigger are included. The Parkerized finish is professionally done and is capped off with an attractive set of Cocobolo hardwood grips engraved with the Springfield logo on each panel
