Continuing the Legacy. The 1911 is a single action, semi-automatic, magazine fed, recoil operated pistol chambered for the potent .45ACP cartridge. It had previously served as the standard issue sidearm for the United States Armed Forces from 1911 through 1986.

The Colt Combat Commander affords enthusiasts the ability to conceal carry a real 1911 platform pistol comfortably. With a shorter profile than a traditional full-size Government Model, the Combat Commander also features an undercut trigger guard and upswept beavertail, allowing shooters a higher grip for enhanced comfort and accuracy.
