Low prices on the Stoeger 3000 start at Champion Firearms- Founded in 1924 as a manufacturer, distributer and importer of firearms, today Stoeger is a wholly owned subsidiary of Benelli, which in turn is owned by Italian firearms powerhouse Beretta. Stoeger products enjoy a solid reputation for affordable quality because of the technology and expertise that Benelli has integrated within Stoeger's manufacturing process.
Stoeger's new Model 3000 is a 3-inch, 12-gauge, Inertia Driven® semi-automatic shotgun that handles loads up to 3-inch Magnums without adjustment and is drilled & tapped to accommodate Weaver-style scope bases. At the heart of every Stoeger semi- automatic shotgun is the proven Benelli Inertia Driven® operating system. This short recoil design is simple and efficient with only three moving parts in the bolt for lightning-fast, reliable operation. Unlike older gas-system shotguns, the Stoeger Inertia Driven® action is contained primarily within the receiver-- giving Stoeger auto shotguns a better, more centered balance and swing. With no propellant gases venting into the action, the Stoeger auto shotgun will stay cleaner longer.
Like the Benelli auto, all Stoeger Inertia Driven® actions feature a patented inertia bolt with a rotating locking head-- the same helical cam system that gives inertia operation a reputation for being the fastest cycling and most reliable shotguns in the world. The vault- like locking lugs on the rotating bolt head are a tight steel-to-steel lockup inside the barrel, and engage even tighter when fired. This ensures the ultimate in strength and reliability. Because it’s a non-stressed component, the Stoeger receiver is made of aluminum alloy to save weight. More importantly, there is no heavy gas cylinder under the forend, enabling Stoeger inertia shotguns to balance and perform better, providing greater versatility at an affordable price.
