The Savage AccuStock is superior to glass bedding and improves accuracy by 50%. The AccuStock includes an integral spine system that applies preload to the action, gripping it firmly. Here, the premise is to prevent the action from moving around in the stock. When a barreled action experiences recoil, it must flex slightly, must tolerate tremendous stress and must return to the exact same position before the next shot is taken. That is why “holding a zero” is the most important thing a stock can do. Any action float from shot to shot impairs accuracy.
