The Benelli Nova is one of the most versatile pump-action shotguns ever made. The Nova utilizes an innovative one-piece receiver and buttstock, made of steel-reinforced polymer. Due to its polymer coated receiver and stock, along with proprietary coatings on the action and barrel, the Benelli Nova is considered impervious to the elements.
The Benelli Nova 12- gauge is the first pump action shotgun engineered from the ground up as a true 3.5" magnum. Every other pump action on the market began life as a 2.75" shotgun that was eventually scaled up to accept 3", and then eventually 3.5" shells-- exposing major design weaknesses in the transition to a more powerful cartridge. The Nova's structural technology is completely unique and innovative, incorporating a lightweight internal steel receiver with an overmolded polymer frame and buttstock-- yielding a single unit with unsurpassed strength and reliability. This makes the Benelli Nova second to none.
The Nova's vault- like locking lugs on its rotating bolt head are a tight steel-to-steel lockup inside the barrel, and engage even tighter when fired. Italian styling and high-tech ergonomics not only make the gun pleasing to look at, but a delight to shoulder and fire. Distinctive grooves on the pistol grip and forend-- in place of conventional checkering-- provide a positive grip surface that complements the innovative engineering of the Nova. The incredibly long dual action locking bars allow the Nova to reliably feed 3.5" all the way down to 2.75" shells while also providing an extended contoured forend that successfully accomodates a wide range of arm lengths and hand sizes.
